Every day is Clean City day in Covington according to Mayor Mike Cooper, "Once again, I’m extremely proud of our Cleanest City district title and grateful to all who worked so hard to achieve this designation. It is because of the untiring labors of many that we have yet again been rewarded and acknowledged for our clean city efforts.  As a result of the ongoing partnership of the Covington Garden Club, Keep Covington Beautiful, and city departments working alongside each other, in addition to the community support by our residents and businesses, Covington has achieved this title.  As we head into State finals, I'm confident Covington will continue to shine.”

Team efforts contributed to the first place recognition – Covington Garden Club members and Clean City Chair Betty Plummer; Keep Covington Beautiful members and Director Priscilla Floca; Covington Masonic Lodge members; Covington Kiwanis Club members; Covington’s Public Works Department, Code Enforcement Department, City Council Members, Cultural Arts & Events and, Covington businesses and residents.

“Thanks goes out to our entire community and their commitment to Covington.  Now is a good time to embellish your homes and businesses with colorful blooms to complement your clean city efforts.  This adds that special touch to a clean community that does not go unnoticed by the judges or our neighbors,” Pam Keller, Executive Assistant to Mayor Mike Cooper, Special Projects Director.
