FIRE HYDRANT REPAIR/BOIL WATER ADVISORY - SEPT 25/26 in Designated Area
Thursday, September 26 - LATEST UPDATE - All tests have come back, and our water is perfectly fine. DHH has officially lifted the boil advisory.
Thursday, September 26 - UPDATE - Public Works has completed the fire hydrant repair work in the area indicated below. Although everything went according to schedule and water samples have been forwarded to DHH, the BOIL WATER ADVISORY for this area cannot be lifted until DHH approves doing so. Approval could be received by this afternoon.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2013, the City of Covington Public Works Department will be repairing fire hydrants on W.19th Ave. Water service may be interrupted between 9:45 am and 1:00 pm. As a standard practice, a boil water advisory will be in effect for this area from 9:45 am Wednesday, September 25, 2013, until approval of samples by DHH, which is anticipated to be received by 4:00 pm Wednesday.
Only the following areas may be affected or experience low water pressure and should follow the boil advisory:
W. 19th Avenue from W. 19th & Taylor to St. Mary
S. Johnson Street from W. 19th to W. 21st Ave
S. Lincoln, S. Pierce and S. Buchanan from W. 19th to W. 21st Avenue
