Covington Art Market - NEW SCHEDULE

Beginning Saturday, October 5, the Covington Art Market will take place in two three-month seasons – the first Saturday of October, November and December, and March, April and May. For the past year, this juried art market, hosted by the City of Covington and the St. Tammany Art Association, has taken place on the first Saturday of every other month. It will continue to take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Covington Trailhead, 419 N. New Hampshire Street, in downtown Covington.
“This change in schedule will provide more suitable market dates for artists and potential buyers, especially around the holiday season, as patrons will have the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind gifts for their loved ones,” says City of Covington Cultural Arts and Events Manager Aimee Faucheux. “We hope that the art market will continue to give exposure to the many talented artists and craftsmen in our community.”
The market features a variety of work from local and regional artists, including jewelry, crafts, photography, paintings and more. Upcoming dates include:

October 5, 2013

November 2, 2013

December 7, 2013

March 1, 2014

April 5, 2014

May 3, 2014

The City of Covington also encourages Art Market patrons to visit the Covington Farmers Market, which takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at 609 N. Columbia Street, within walking distance of the Covington Trailhead. The Covington Farmers Market carries a variety of locally-grown produce and prepared foods.
