Trickin' and Treatin' at the Covington Trailhead - Oct. 27

The City of Covington will host its third annual TRICKIN’ & TREATIN’ children’s event at the Covington Trailhead, 419 N. New Hampshire Street, on Saturday, October 27, from 10 a.m. to noon.  Children of all ages will enjoy this free, fun-filled event. Frank Levy Stories in Motion will give a creative, interactive performance of the Wizard of Oz. There will also be a carved pumpkin contest. Each child should bring his or her already-carved pumpkin. Prizes will be awarded to the children who bring the most creative carved pumpkins. The kids will also get to trick-or-treat around the Covington Trailhead. Several local organizations will set up booths around the Trailhead where kids will collect candy to take home. Also, in keeping with the spirit of Halloween, children are encouraged to wear costumes.

“Our past two Trickin’ and Treatin’ events have been a blast. We are proud to bring this festive family event to the community again this year,” says Aimee Faucheux, City of Covington Cultural Arts & Events Manager.

The City of Covington thanks Champagne Beverage Company for their generous sponsorship of this event.

The City of Covington requests that attendees bring canned or boxed food donations to help support the Covington Food Bank. There will be a donation drop-off station at the event. Suggested items include: pasta, rice, dry red beans, peanut butter, jelly, tomato sauce/spaghetti sauce, canned tuna and meat, canned vegetables, whole grain cereals, soup, and macaroni and cheese.
