Criminal Investigations
The Criminal Investigations Division of the Covington Police Department is manned by two units, which consist of six investigators with extensive experience and knowledge for investigating all major criminal offenses.
The Detectives Unit investigates crimes inclusive of homicide, armed robbery, sexual assault, child abuse, burglary and other violations of the law.
The Narcotics Unit is a proactive operation responsible for investigating crimes involving all narcotic violations, as well as asset seizures.
The Criminal Investigations Division is available 24 hours a day to respond to the investigative needs of the department and the citizens of Covington. Our success in solving and preventing crimes in Covington would not be possible without the support and cooperation we receive from our many fine citizens, who report suspicious activity and/or provide critical information to our detectives.
