The Covington Tree Board was established to counsel the City regarding the preservation, pruning, planting, and replanting of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in other public areas. Of special interest is the care and maintenance of Covington's Live Oak canopy. While the City encourages tree planting, all proposed plantings on public property must be approved by the CITY TREE BOARD.

The Board meets on the second Thursday of each month if there is a request or matter for consideration or review.

Proposals are to be submitted using the Application to Appear online form found on this site. The form is also available from the Planning Department at City Hall. The applicant will be notified of the appearance date at an upcoming Tree Board meeting.

The City uses BlueInk to manage and complete our online forms.
